BTX Facial: Reduce wrinkles and smooth expression lines on your face with botulinum toxin
What is facial BTX?
Facial BTX, commonly known as botulinum toxin treatment, is one of the most popular non-surgical aesthetic medicine techniques for reducing wrinkles and expression lines.
Produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacteria, this compound is applied in small doses to temporarily relax the facial muscles in areas such as the forehead and around the eyes.
If you are considering BTX, it is essential to consult with a specialized professional to achieve an optimal result. At Turó Park Aesthetic, our aesthetic doctors are experts in the technique and will help you achieve natural and long-lasting results.

Uses and History of Facial Botulinum Toxin
Botulinum toxin, or BTX, is used to smooth expression lines in the upper face, such as frown lines, crow’s feet, and horizontal forehead lines. It is also used to improve the appearance of the neck and lips. The use of BTX on the face is considered both corrective and preventive, applied as soon as the first wrinkles or expression lines appear.
Additionally, since 1975, botulinum toxin has been used to treat pediatric strabismus, facial tics, uncontrollable blinking (blepharospasm), spasmodic torticollis, dysphonia, and temporomandibular joint pain.
Types of Wrinkles that Facial BTX Can Treat
BTX is effective in treating various types of wrinkles, such as crow’s feet, forehead expression lines, and frown lines, among others. This segment details each type and how BTX helps improve them.
Before and After a Botulinum Toxin Treatment
Facial Botulinum Toxin Step by Step
Before the procedure, a preliminary consultation is necessary for the doctor to establish your personalized treatment plan.
This initial visit is also an opportunity to rule out any contraindications. If you regularly take medications or suffer from any illness, this is the time to discuss it with your doctor.
The needles are very fine and the injections are almost painless, so anesthesia is not required, although anesthetic cream is sometimes used for added comfort. First, the skin is disinfected, and then small doses of botulinum toxin are injected into precise points of the muscles. The session usually lasts from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the work to be done.
The effects of the botulinum toxin injection appear between 2 and 10 days, depending on the patient. A follow-up appointment is recommended after 15 days to evaluate the results and progress of the treatment.
Post-treatment care includes avoiding massaging the injection points, intense sports, wearing a motorcycle helmet, taking hot baths, hammam sessions, or sun exposure for 24 hours.

What do our patients say?
Very pleased with Dr. Lloyd Nanhekhan and his staff. Highly recommended. I have seen more than 10 specialists in Barcelona but he is the only one I could trust and always will. He focuses on his patients and best practices from the medical perspective not the sales perspective.

I have done PRP 3 times with Dr. Martin and it has been great. The first time I tried prp with him, I wanted to continue more times with him because he has a very good hand. He pricked me carefully so that I would not get pain (it is not painful) explaining about the prp treatment. I highly recommend him for your first treatment at turo clinic. You would do the same as me to repeat it with him afterwards!!!
