Growth factors: Stimulate your scalp with platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
What are growth factors?
Growth factors, present in platelets, are activated and released from a plasma enriched with a high concentration of platelets. This rich source of protein is key because it specifically stimulates the treated area, providing an additional dose of protein that promotes tissue repair and regeneration. This technique takes advantage of the regenerative power of the patient’s plasma and injects it into the scalp to stimulate the hair follicles. Treatment with hair growth factors is also known as platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
Suitable for both men and women, growth factor treatment can be used as an adjunct to a hair transplant, but can also be used on its own, especially in cases of mild alopecia.

How does hair growth factor treatment work?
Treatment with growth factors involves injecting blood highly concentrated in platelets into the scalp.
Growth factors help reactivate dormant hair follicles, which is crucial for increasing hair density. They work by improving blood circulation in the scalp, which increases the supply of nutrients and oxygen essential for healthy hair growth.
Before the injections are performed, the treatment begins with the extraction of a blood sample, to isolate the platelets and concentrate them by centrifugation.
This type of treatment regenerates hair follicle cells, nourishes multipotent stem cells, and activates microcirculation in the scalp.
For whom is hair growth factor treatment indicated?
PRP treatment is especially recommended for people suffering from:
- Mild to moderate alopecia,
- Hair loss or partial baldness,
- Women who have experienced hair loss after pregnancy.
- However, in more severe cases of baldness, stimulation is more complicated and sometimes impossible. Indeed, PRP stimulation can only be performed in the presence of an existing follicle.
If this is your case, you can resort to a hair transplant, as well as a complementary treatment with PRP.
At Turó Park Aesthetic, we are committed to your well-being before, during, and after the procedure, ensuring professionalism not only in the treatment but also on the road to recovery.

Step by step treatment with growth factors
Before performing the treatment with growth factors, a previous consultation with our specialist is necessary to establish a diagnosis and make sure that this type of treatment is well adapted to your case.
In the second step, the physician takes a blood sample.
The blood is composed of three types of cells
- red blood cells,
- white blood cells,
- platelets.
For a growth factor treatment, only platelets are used, as they contain the growth factors capable of regenerating the follicular bulbs. To separate them from the other components of the blood, the blood is placed in a centrifuge for 5 minutes.
PRP is injected into the scalp at various points. Although generally painless, vibratory anesthesia is applied to the scalp to maximize patient comfort. It is possible to resume daily activities immediately after treatment.
