Cellulitis Treatment: Advanced Mesotherapy Methods for Smooth and Firm Skin
What is Cellulite and Why Does it Occur?
Cellulite is a complex phenomenon that results from a change in the structure of adipose tissues and results in an excessive accumulation of fat in the deep layers (reserve layers) of the skin. Cellulite appears in specific areas of the body (back of the thighs, buttocks, stomach, upper arms) and does not have health consequences. However, it can cause discomfort, local pain, and insecurity.
Cellulite mainly affects women: almost 9 out of 10 women suffer from it at some point in their lives, compared to only 1 out of 50 men. Contrary to some preconceived notions, cellulite is not usually caused by being overweight, although it can make it more noticeable.
The causes of cellulite are multiple and include:
- Heredity
- The levels of sexual hormones (estrogens)
- Obesity
- Stress
- Slow metabolism

What are the Different Types of Cellulite?
This type of cellulite is mainly related to a problem of fluid retention in the body. This fluid retention causes poor venous and lymphatic circulation.
This is the most common form of cellulite. Adipose cellulite is a thickening of the superficial layer of adipose tissue in key areas such as the thighs, buttocks, and arms.
Fibrous cellulite is painful to the touch. It results from the hardening of the collagen in our body, which traps fat cells and toxins, making it difficult to eliminate them. This is an old form of cellulite deeply embedded in the tissues.
At Turó Park Aesthetic, we are committed to your well-being before, during, and after the procedure, ensuring professionalism not only in the treatment but also on the road to recovery.

How to Eliminate Cellulite?
It is impossible to eliminate cellulite. However, specialists recommend acting on several fronts at the same time to obtain the greatest possible effect on cellulite.
When dietary measures, physical activity, and massages are not sufficient, some aesthetic treatments can help eliminate stubborn cellulite. This is the case with liposuction, which is performed in the operating room under local or general anesthesia.
Liposuction has the advantage of mechanically removing fat cells. The fat cells are removed (suctioned) and cannot reappear.
It is indicated to eliminate localized fat deposits in specific areas that resist exercise, diet, or weight loss.
Anti-cellulite massages, and in particular palpation or lymphatic drainage, will also help you stimulate venous and lymphatic circulation, activate natural lipolysis, and improve the appearance of the skin.
When performed regularly according to an adapted protocol, they can yield satisfactory results. Do not hesitate to contact our physiotherapists for more information.
To avoid or reduce the appearance of cellulite, it is important to avoid excess salt and sugar, which contribute to water retention and tissue congestion. The ideal is to adopt a balanced diet, rich in fiber, and to stay well hydrated.
You can also consume “detox” foods such as guarana, green tea, or cherry stems in the form of dietary supplements.
To review your diet and start an anti-cellulite program, you can contact our nutritionist for an initial telephone interview.
Sport is another asset for achieving firmer skin. On the one hand, cardiovascular activities (such as running, cycling, or aqua gym) will allow your body to eliminate excess fat; on the other hand, weight training will strengthen muscle tone and improve blood circulation.

What do our patients say?
Very pleased with Dr. Lloyd Nanhekhan and his staff. Highly recommended. I have seen more than 10 specialists in Barcelona but he is the only one I could trust and always will. He focuses on his patients and best practices from the medical perspective not the sales perspective.

I have done PRP 3 times with Dr. Martin and it has been great. The first time I tried prp with him, I wanted to continue more times with him because he has a very good hand. He pricked me carefully so that I would not get pain (it is not painful) explaining about the prp treatment. I highly recommend him for your first treatment at turo clinic. You would do the same as me to repeat it with him afterwards!!!
