Acne Laser Treatment: IPL
IPL technology uses a broad spectrum of light to penetrate different layers of the skin, allowing it to treat a variety of conditions, including acne.
By reaching and heating the sebaceous glands, oil production is reduced and the bacteria responsible for inflammations is eliminated. Finally, the Nordlys system treats active acne by reducing blood flow to the sebaceous gland to decrease sebum production.
The device emits bursts of Ellipse IPL onto the skin. With its Dual Filtering Mode technology, it filters the light to use only the necessary wavelengths, affecting only the blood vessels that irrigate the sebaceous gland, without impacting the surrounding ones.
Laser treatment for acne scars: FRAX
To correct acne scars, Nordlys includes a fractional FRAX laser that applies heat to the deepest layers of the skin. This FRAX laser stimulates the production of collagen and helps the skin to recover its original color and volume, eliminating the marks and scars caused by acne.

Main lesions present or produced by acne
Characterized by a shiny, greasy appearance of the skin, predominantly in the midface area (forehead, tip of the nose, cheeks and chin), it is usually the first manifestation of acne.
Resulting from the accumulation of sebum in the hair follicles, comedones can be open (blackheads) or closed (whiteheads without surrounding redness).
Papules are the “pimples” of common language. They are the result of inflammation and may disappear spontaneously or become superinfected by bacteria present on the skin: they are then pustules which, as the name suggests, contain pus.
Cysts are pustules located in the deep layers of the skin. They are usually very painful.
Difficult to distinguish from cysts, nodules usually do not contain pus, but are nevertheless the focus of an infection. It is usually the nodules that rupture and leave lasting scars on the skin.

Possible side effects will be redness of the face and, if you have sun-damaged skin with dark spots, some of these pigmented spots may darken for a few days after treatment before disappearing permanently.
The laser impacts cause a sensation of heat and tingling that disappears very quickly. Our device is equipped with a cooling system to limit sensitivity.
During the first few days after laser treatment, the skin may be particularly sensitive. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid sun exposure, use sunscreen and moisturizing repair creams.
