Facial Peel: Renew your skin with a deep facial exfoliation.
What is a facial peel and what is it for?
The chemical facial peel is an advanced aesthetic medicine treatment that significantly improves the texture, tone, and clarity of the skin. This procedure involves applying a chemical solution, such as glycolic or salicylic acid, that exfoliates and peels the upper layers of the skin, revealing a smoother and rejuvenated surface. Designed to brighten the complexion without surgeries or invasive techniques, it is effective not only for the face but also for the neck, décolleté, and hands.
It is ideal for reducing scars, imperfections, and expression lines, as well as improving skin texture. It offers multiple benefits, effectively treating acne and its aftermath, reducing wrinkles, improving the appearance of pores, mitigating the effects of rosacea, lightening pigmentation spots, and revitalizing the skin.

Different Types of Facial Peels
The superficial chemical peel consists of mild acids, such as glycolic or salicylic acid, for a deep cleansing that revitalizes the skin. Ideal for a young audience interested in preventive skin care and maintenance. It is a gentle procedure that refreshes and smooths skin texture with little to no downtime.
The medium peel, using trichloroacetic acid (TCA), penetrates beyond the skin’s surface, effectively treating pigmentation problems and moderate signs of aging. Medium exfoliation is especially recommended for mature skin (ages 40 to 55). It is important to note that medium exfoliation causes skin peeling and therefore requires a few days of social downtime.
Finally, the deep peel is the most intense treatment and involves significant post-operative effects. It is intended to correct deep wrinkles and severe scars. Its invasive nature requires more extensive post-treatment care and considerable social downtime, due to the deep exfoliation the skin undergoes, leading to transformative and long-lasting results.
At Turó Park Aesthetic, we are committed to your well-being before, during, and after the procedure, ensuring professionalism not only in the treatment but also on the road to recovery.

Facial Peel Step by Step
Before your chemical peel session, it is essential to prepare your skin to optimize results:
- Exfoliate your skin 2 to 3 times per week for the two weeks before the treatment, but avoid exfoliating two days before the peel to allow your skin to rest.
- Discontinue the use of any specific skin treatment products, such as those for acne or pigmentation, one week before the procedure to avoid irritation.
Upon arrival at the clinic, the process begins with a deep skin cleansing:
- The specialist will evaluate your skin to select the most suitable peel formula according to your needs.
- The chemically selected peel is applied directly to the skin using a brush, evenly covering the designated areas.
After the application, it is normal to experience a warm sensation and slight tingling:
- The skin may redden and begin to peel, similar to a mild sunburn, which is part of the skin renewal process.
- Avoid sun exposure and carefully follow the post-treatment instructions provided by your doctor to ensure optimal and complication-free recovery.

What do our patients say?
Very pleased with Dr. Lloyd Nanhekhan and his staff. Highly recommended. I have seen more than 10 specialists in Barcelona but he is the only one I could trust and always will. He focuses on his patients and best practices from the medical perspective not the sales perspective.

I have done PRP 3 times with Dr. Martin and it has been great. The first time I tried prp with him, I wanted to continue more times with him because he has a very good hand. He pricked me carefully so that I would not get pain (it is not painful) explaining about the prp treatment. I highly recommend him for your first treatment at turo clinic. You would do the same as me to repeat it with him afterwards!!!
